Faculty of Home Economics; Technology Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon was established on April 1, 1938. At first, teaching weaving was offered.
In 1942, the Women’s Mechanic Course (Seamstress, 2-year course) was opened and changed its name to “Satrichotiwet Technician School” (“Satri” means lady in English.)
In 2005, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great Borommanatbophit (Rama 9) graciously bestowed a new name “Rajamangala Institute of Technology” and was upgraded to university status on January 18, 2005.According to the Rajamangala University of Technology Act B.E. 2548
