Congratulation to the Home Economics Students at the 17th “Color of Flora, Honoring thee Queen Mother”

The Faculty of Home Economics Technology (Chotivet) congratulates the students and alumni on winning two first place awards in the orchid arrangement competition at the 17th “Color of Flora, Honoring the Queen Mother 2025.” The awards include the Royal Trophy from Her majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and a trophy from the privy councilor under the topic “Orchid of the World.” The event was held at Phupa Mahanatee Gargen, Chatuchak, Bangkok.

  •  First place award, Royal Trophy (regular division) with the work titled “Our Orchid” by Metat Thongwiset, sophomore of the Applied Home Economics Program, Suthichai Meedee and Worachat Dechana, the alumni of the Applied Home Economics Program
  • 2. First place award, privy councilor’s trophy (youth division) with the work titled “ORCHIDEA TERRA” by Setavut Meepan and Kittisak Pathechang, freshmen of the Applied Home Economics Program

On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Home Economics Technology (Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapop Soteyome), administrators, and faculties sent their congratulation on the 13th of August.

Home Economics Students Presented Research Project on the National Stage!

The juniors and seniors from the Food Technology Program, the Faculty of Home Economics Technology RMUTP, presented on three research projects to the judge committee for “Healthy Food Product Innovation” at the National Thai FDA Forum 2025 on the theme “Digital Economy Challenge for Sustainability,” Impact Forum Conference Hall, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. The students were advised by the Head of Food Technology Program (Dr. Kasarin Pedcharat) and the faculties of the Food Technology Program (Asst. Prof. Dr. Supuksorn Masavang and Asst. Prof. Chompoonuch Phuenpipob).

“RMUTP Signs MOU with Akrapan Corporation to Advance Curriculum and Research for Thailand’s Food Industry”

The President of RMUTP (Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul) and the Dean of the Faculty of Home Economics Technology (Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapop Soteyome), along with executives and faculty members participated in the signing ceremony of the academic cooporation agreement (MOU) with Akrapan Corporation Co. Ltd., led by the CEO (Mr. Akrapan Rattarangsee) and Marking and Product Development Manager (Mr. Pravith Karnsuk). The purpose of this collaboration is to strengthen the university’s cooperation with the industry and align the development of curriculum and research direction for the benefit of Thai food industry. The event took place on the 19th June 2025 at Chotivet Conference Room, Panya Building, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, RMUTP.

Prevention and Management of Office Syndrome

RMUTP Faculty of Home Economics Technology, in collaboration with Dusit District, organized a workshop on the “Prevention and Management of Office Syndrome” for the staff and the general public of the Wat Thewarat Kunchorn Worawiharn community. Divided into two phases. Phase 1 addressed the prevention and management of office syndrome, and Phase 2 focused on risk assessment and symptom management. The aim is to reduce health issues associated with prolonged office work in the same position and promote better physical health. This project received funding from the National Health Security Office of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Dusit Branch. Phase I offered lecture on the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system and the assessment of sitting posture at work using ROSA method, honored by Assoc. Prof. Amorn Khosidapan, a physical therapist and adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Health Science and Technology, Navamindradhiraj University, and Dr. Thanyaporn Aranvalai from the department of physiotherapy and Health Rehabilitation, Vajira Hospital. The President of RMUTP, the Director of Dusit District, executives, faculty members, and the chairman of the local community attended the opening ceremony on 11th June 2025 at Chotivet Conference Room, Panya Building, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, RMUTP.

Home Economics (Chotivet), RMUTP and NCC jointly push the Thai soft power

 to showcase Thai art and culture in food, desserts and handicraft to deliver the potential of Thainess to world leaders in APEC 2022 meetings between 14-19 November 2022 (Day 5).

         The teachers and students of Applied Home Economics Department demonstrate “Vegetable, Fruit and Soap Carving” and The teachers and students of Foods and Nutrition department demonstrate “Thai Snacks: Chor Muang Kai” during lunch for the media, exhibition participants and attendees.

       Chotivet Thai art and culture showcase received attention from both Thai and International media. Including many participants at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on November 18, 2022.
